So cricket is almost over and soccer commences in April. Callum’s team lost the semi-final, but according to the team that was partly due to the umpire making a bad decision at the end.
Conrad’s team lost the semi as well, but because they had been undefeated until then they actually are minor premier champions and will challenge the winner of the final. Weird rules, but we have to go along with them. We really don’t want to challenge the other team but have to do so according to association rules.
Conrad did the catch of the season in the semi and Callum got 5 wickets the weekend before, so they both have come a long way since they started playing cricket this year.
It will be strange not to see the cricket parents any more on a Saturday morning. Sometimes it was hard to get out of bed for the early matches, but it was nice nevertheless to sit in the park watching our boys play cricket. Unfortunatley Steven and hardly saw each other during those mornings, because we had two separate matches to go to and it was always hard to decide who is going to watch whom. But we stayed in contact via mobile phone and told each other what Callum or Conrad were doing on the field.
